Default Do pro players have to supply there own towels?

I've been watching the US Open all week, and I've seen some players not even touch a towel during a point or during change overs. And my pops thinks that they have to buy there own towels when they enter a tournament. Does anyone know how this works?

They certainly don't have to buy towels on this level...

I am quite sure they get them free...

I remember Llodra or Clement commenting on "taking" a bunch of towels or other tournament gear.

Anyone remember that?

Yeah I can remember. It is a rule by ITF that tournaments provide each player with towels.

Yea, the tournament provides the towel. When I was there last week I saw a guy with a huge cart of clean towels he was taking around.

Nothing is free...there must be an entry fee, and that will cover whatever supplies and facilities that you use. Of course, the higher ranked you are, the more sponsorship monies you can get to help pay your expenses.

Serena always packs a couple in her bag before she leaves the court.

You think she takes her hotel towels too?

itf (juniors, and open, in my experience) give stupid gifts, drinks and towels to players .. this is g6-g1, futures and sattelites.. pros' get them (and sweet tournament gift bags) free.
