Default Who is this guy Ernests Gulbis?

I don't even know the country he is from. This kid only 19 and he beat Roberdo with ease. Anyone knows any extra info about him? His ranking is pretty low too.

Supposed to be very talented young player, next marcelo Rios perhaps.

Forget about the ranking, watch him play. He has enormous ability and potential.

I agree. You all should watch this guy! He has greater talent than Donald Young and is much stronger mentally than most players on tour today. He is the youngest player left on the Men's draw. I hope he gets the good media coverage. This young man should be feted!

He is Latvian, just turned 19, and 88 in the world.

Actually I don't think he has quite the hand of Rios.

WikiPedia had some good info on Gulbis

He is coached by Nikola Pilić

http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/newre...te=1&p=1718151

Ernests Gulbis (born August 30, 198 is a tennis player from Latvia. He is currently ranked 88th in the world for singles, and 199th for doubles. Considered one of the brightest young talents in men's tennis, he is the third-highest ranked player born in 1988 behind Juan Martin Del Potro and Evgeny Korolev. Gulbis is coached by Nikola Pilić, the former Yugoslavian tennis player and Croatian Davis Cup captain, and has been training at the Niki Pilic Tennis Academy in Germany since he was 12.[1]

Gulbis has the raw materials to be a future No.1. I'm just waiting to see what he is like mentally.

That he was, Hitting serve's in the 130mph's and hammering winners everywhere. His volleying was also impressive.

LOL. This reminds of of that FedEx commercial where that guy couldn't even find China on a world map.
