Default Is Venus getting her serve back? (spoiler)

Today against Safarova, Venus played really great. She won 27 of 28 serves on her first serve. That's 96% success. That is crazy! Especially on the Women's side. She played a tough oponent today, Safarova, whom is definitely no slouch. Not to mention, she only lost 2 points overall on her serve in the 2nd set. This is the best she's played since Wimbledon.

Safarova racked up her games by scrapping....she really had to fight for the few games she did win, Venus played her tight in all her service games. I hope this is a good sign to come for Williams.

I downloaded the match, Venus was coming to net so much, it was really great to see. She knows that she has the baseline game, but her net game was very sloid. She actually had plays that her and her turkish clay coach went over! She did the hard forehand approach, then come to net. She also did some nice drop shots, and then came in and hit volley winners. Very nice to see!

I totally agree. It's good to see that there are actually some people on here who enjoy the immense talents of Venus Williams.

She did play great. Plays Patty Schnyder next which should be a good match. Schnyder has never beat Venus in 6 previous meetings.

I hope Venus can keep that kind of form up for the rest of the tournament.

I'm dying to see Venus get back on top. Tennis just isn't the same for me without her and Serena.

As far as I'm concerned, the WTA right now is better than its ever been with the competition level and its mainly due to venus williams brand of tennis. She's the original, and I think still the best at it (the original usually is).

Venus beat Schnyder today!
One match away from a SF rematch with Hingis.

If Venus plays Hingis like she's been playing these 3rd sets, it will be like 6-3,6-4!
