To day is my day off

I'm going to buy a good bottle of Red wine and 2 dark Stout beers and some good food and just watch Tv on my new Panasonic Plasma the whole day and just relax and enjoy it........

I consider buying a new Eton shirt I saw yesterday - but it has a steep price tag, but looks so darn great - but it costs 1.449 kr, which is circa $250 - but I just got to have it

You think it's worth $250 - it looks fantastic in person

"Eddien Siivella" (On Eddie's Wing)

I love TTW. It used to be great. We had the best commentators in the world. We had such spirit. Now so much has come and gone. And all that is left is emptiness.

Today is the birthday of the Chilean child prodigy Claudio Arrau. He gave his first piano concert at the age of 5. It took him long to find someone who could teach him further till he found Martin Krause, a pupil of Liszt.

He is considered to be one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century. He could play Liszt's Transendental Etudes at age 11.

EDIT: also Reagan, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Bob Marley, Natalie Cole and Truffaut (cLose Encounters, iirc)

I can play "Chopsticks" on the piano with my feet--does that count?

I think the Nokia N82 is one of the best Nokia's to date, due to its Xenon flash (newer "flagship" models lack it i.e. N96, N85) symbian platform and great aesthetics.

Shamil Tarpischev has had problems obtaining a U.S. visa for many years due to suspected ties with the Russian mafia.
http://www.insidetennis.com/1107_tarpischev.html
http://english.stopcrime.ru/international/213/249.html
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/tenni...-feature_N.htm
With 65 Davis Cup ties under his belt and 29 years as Russia's Davis Cup captain in two stints dating to the mid-1970s (plus 38 as captain of Russia's Fed Cup team), Tarpischev is far and away the most experienced Davis Cup skipper in the world. As the head of Russia's tennis association and an International Olympic Committee member, he is also among the most powerful men in all of Russian sport.

Too powerful and connected, some might say. Tarpischev nearly missed this year's semifinal Fed Cup tie against the USA in Vermont when his entry visa was held up because of reported links to the Russian mafia, a charge he has steadfastly denied.

Tarpischev grew up playing competitive tennis but wasn't talented enough to merit travel outside the former communist Soviet Union. He never competed in Davis Cup. Nonetheless, he became captain at age 26, and held that position until 1991, when he joined the new decentralized Kremlin government through his association with tennis-mad Boris Yeltsin.

Shamil celebrates a Davis Cup victory while Tursunov and Andreev make out behind him:

Marat reacts to Shamil's suggestion that that he should spend less time with beautiful women at clubs:

Are you an ugly duckling or a swan? Darkness had fallen, and even before the called ID display lit up, Darren knew that this would be the call. They would wait for hours even as the distric councillor round up his men to confront the rebellious youth.

It is imperative that I have a smørrebrød (or maybe three) tomorrow. There will be no compromises or negotiations on this matter.

Many bartenders in Denmark work for Politiets Efterretningstjeneste and are allowed to spike patrons drinks with passive elicitation drugs. Innocent visitors are often hurt by the practice, and filing a complaint can cause you trouble with certain allied countries.
