So do you guys follow the string tension recommendation that the racquet gives? I use a k95 and it says 50-60lb strung recommended but i use 60. My friend who is a 5.5-6.0 player strings his k95x(longer one) at 63 mains and crosses on all 3 of his racquets. What happens if you string above or under the recommended tension? thanks

i know plenty of people who string outside of the recomended tension range. One of my stepdads friends strung his raquets as 70 and one of my coachs strings his raquets at 65. nothing happens to the raquet, but the extremes like 70 will eventually make the raquets crack, usually while stringing them. personally i string my rackets at 57, but i've have tried anywhere from 50 all the way up to about 63, 57 is just what i like the feel of best.

I do normally if it has a high range (60-64). I think that you can void the warranty if you string it too high and it cracks.
