Default doubt! help!

Well my school has a good level of tennis and now two friends of mine have gone to the US for a year to improve their game, I am from mexico and I want to go also for a year (i'm a little bit scared with discrmination and all that stuff but i hope to be accepted) well, however i wanted to know if you have really to be extremely good to get a tennis scholarship or if you can be only "good" to get one, as i said before i am from mexico so i would'nt know my rating but for what i've seen i should be 3.5-4.0 and considering that if i would go there it would be like in two years maybe i would be more less 5.0 so do you think i could get a scholarship with those skills?? and something else, do you think i would have troubles with discrimination?
