Lead Tape Problems on Prestige YT

How can I apply lead tape at 12 of the Prestige without messing up the silver "HEAD" emblem at the tip of the racket? I've heard that applying and removing lead tape will remove pieces of the emblem. I also don't want to apply tape underneath the cap grommet (too troublesome), and I feel like applying it ON the grommet will make the tape fly off after multiple swings. What if I put regular clear tape on the emblem, and then apply the lead tape? Will it stick? Thoughts?
