Hey - in a round-about way I'm catching a plane for this hit (Yeah, I'm flying down to meet my mates who are driving down, as I have to work on the weekend).

hows about we have 2 hits!!! one at dendy park, one at wantirna just in case i cant make the hit at dendy park, which looks likely at this point in time.

Wantirna TC is out in the middle of the sticks. Approximately 1hr 45mins traveling time via public transport from anywhere.

Dendy Park TC on the other hand is easy to access. Especially if coming from the Melbourne Park. Just catch the frankston line from richmond station to moorabbin station, get off and walk for 10mins along nepean highway past south rd and patterson. Can"t miss hit the courts or wall.

dendy park is about 2+ hours away from me im coming from wantirna. need to take a bus to either mitcham or glen waverley which is about 20-30 minutes, take the train to richmond, another 45-50 minutes, take the train to moorabin, another 30-40 minutes on the train, then walk to dendy which you say is about 10 minutes. all that to go to dendy and back home is more time than i'll be actually playing tennis for. if i can get someone to drive me there than i'll be there, but right now it looks unlikely.

Or you can catch a couple of buses 732 boxhill 767 to south rd, sth rd bus to nepean. 1hr45mins..

Going to Aussie Open Monday/Tuesday. Going out on Sunday night for my friends 19th so look out for the tired grumpy teenager.

BTW, what are we all planning to wear on Friday? Just so we are colour coordinated jokes..

I'll be wearing Orange.... or more likely blue-purple.

That said, I have promised my fitness training kids I'd use the tube of pink hair-dye they bought me for christmas.... . I don't see it happening in the next 8 days though.

im goin aussie open monday and tuesday as well durham. ground passes monday, vodafone arena tuesday. do you wanna meet up sometime on those days?

i'm not sure where all of the players are staying, but i know that some of the players like to come down and stay in crown casino. andy roddick, james blake and sharapova have been known to stay in the crown towers and then go down and play a bit of poker in the gambling area. check it out:
