Sorry, have only just seen this reply!

Yes I spent some time there working with Enrique, was very impressed with his philosophies as a coach. I have heard through the grapevine since I was there that there are now several academies operating out of Gimeno, all competing with each other? Maybe Barca Tennis can set me straight if this is false info?

Cheers

Hello Ash
Elitennis is the only only academy working out of Gimeno.
some did try a few years ago but where not good and soon went.
The club always has pro players coming in with there coaches like Marcel Granollers and Almagro did winter training here.
The club has a small academy that work with children from the near by schools.
Thanks Barca

Hi Barca tennis!!!

Love reading ALL of your information! We are headed to Europe this summer (from Canada) and our daughter is a junior and plays u14 currently. We would llllove to enrol her into a tennis academy in Barcelona for 2-3 weeks in July but we are SO confused as to what will be the BEST for her. She is a hard worker and passionate about tennis. She would like to work on her technique, consistency, mental game and fitness. In December she will enter u16 (she has a bad birthday!!!) and we really would like to offer her as much positive training as possible so she is prepared for tournaments and can feel confident and really enjoy herself. We have looked at Sanchez (quite expensive), bta tennis, bruguera and Global in Mallorca. Any thoughts on what would be the best academy for her? Any information would be MOST helpful.

Gracias Barca, must have been a couple of years back when I heard there were a few academies renting courts from the club at the same time.

Cheers

will also be very interested in hearing your results. Are you going solo or looking to go with a group?

Ok thanks for your response! That doesn't surprise me. Enrique was kind, serious & the only thing I wasn't in like with was the area. But I was also in the market for a semi different product.

Salud amigo!

Hoping to be back in Barcelona for a month this August but my wife is pushing for Mallorca and the Vilas academy! My son really enjoyed Barcelona and doesn't really want to go to a new academy though.

An academy called 4slam have just moved to new premises in Gava Mar. Anyone had any experience of them and their costs?
