Not being a big fan of the lanky wonder, I dont find it suprising that she can't get a win over the top players. Lets face it, she makes the finals because JCap, The Willaims, and Clijsters are out. I think that is different from the players trying to breakthrough. She is not in the upper echelon any longer. So take that bird outta the oven, she is cooked. And Pam Shriver kisses her tushy about as much as PMac kisses Arod. Its just so annoying.

She's still one of the top players...in fact I'd put her above JCap.

JCap can still run with the big dogs, she might even get a set here and there and an occasional win. Lindsey was lucky to get 5 games

And 47 mph? When the hell did this happen? I'm going to put on a skirt and become a top 10 player on the WTA Tour. Hope nobody notices my hairy legs. |

FWIW Dementieva kept serving up 50-55 mph 2'nd serves @ the Rogers AT & T in Toronto last August. Worst 2'nd serve in the pro's imaginable.

Henin rules though. I love her shotmaking game, it makes women's tennis slighty bearable. Otherwise, it just stinks.

She did make the finals of a big event, and she had to do a bit of work to get there.
I agree they should have just handed the trophy to Justine when Kim pulled out, but they had to go through the motions. And after Justine, Lindsay was the best in the draw. So hats off to her. The prevailed over the ova's. |

You have to remember that Lindsay routinely got the best of JCap.

Looks like no competition for "The Hand" until the Williams sisters get back in the tourney grind. After the US Open meltdown, J Cap is no longer a legitimate threat. Too early to say regarding Davenport's injury return. Give her a few tourneys. I see J Cap is in the Nasdaq-100. With the weak women's field guarantee she will make the semis. Also guarantee she won't win.
