After searching to no avail., I decided to make a thread for all of those to come to when you're having a bad tennis day, frequent bad tennis days, or continuous bad tennis days! You may come here and rant, offer constructive advice, share your gripes, so on and so forth. Just keep it constructive which is why I have it in this section
I'll go first. So I'm currently in the middle of my state where it's freaking freezing as all heck which equals to indoor tennis and very infrequent at that. I played tonight and before that was three weeks ago. Only other tennis I get in is hitting against the wall at the basketball court in my apt complex. Tonight I felt like I was making good contact with the ball after switching to a 95" racket this past fall and then getting a PS tour 95 in January. Albeit, I've only actually hit and played with other people with the PS tour twice. Thus a lot of balls are still going out. The good part though is I'm getting the hang of my serve tonight. The last set I played, I was painting lines with my serve followed by weak returns which would've been good set ups for whatever I'd hit next. Problem was, I was playing doubs and my partner kept netting or hitting out the ball. Meh. One other thing, I feel like I need a coach or at least someone to look at my strokes cause I know my flaws with my backhand. I can limit my power and make good shots and sometimes winners with my backhand. My forehand is what's worrying me. I hit with either eastern, extreme eastern, or semi western with my forehand. I got the hang of semi western in the past week so that I do it correctly. I was killing my arm trying to hit it in the fall. According to the teacher, I was actually hitting western, yikes. Problem is, I must not be coming over the ball enough or something when I hit with 100% cause it seems like the ball has no spin and is either out by inches, feet, or goes right to the tarp. It's frustrating cause I don't want half strokes like I did with my bigger racket. I wonder, would switching to luxilon help? I know the likely answer is that I need to practice more, which I do. However I wonder if it'll help in the long run cause I know how a full stroke feels now. Other than that, I just need to practice serves to stop faulting and get comfortable volleying. Sorry for the long rant. Now it's your turn!

I am in the same situation. Live in Minnesota and am only able to play once every two weeks on an indoor court. After taking long breaks it as though I am sluggish and then I get even more perturbed thinking of the money I wasted playing like crap. I gues i am a poor cheap *** that likes free outdoor tennis
