....? Mute the sound if it REALLY bothers you. It shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Stop being so defensive.

Your volleys suck, you don't volley like that.

I'm being defensive for my friend Damian, everyone keeps saying he sucks, when he doesn't. He is actually better then me.

And instead of just saying "you suck", you could actually help and tell me what I am doing wrong/right, etc.

I saw your comment on your youtube.
"Oh the person feeding the ball sucked."
Are you joking? They were good feeds.

I don't know if I should explain it to a prodigy like you. You seem to have learn everything that you need to learn by looking at videos online. Why don't you go and do the same?

Your a bigger *** then BB to be honest. He just calls me a liar, you on the otherhand personally attack me, and no, you didn't see the whole video. They couldn't feed jack. I had 3 minutes worth of volleying, guess why I only put like 30 seconds in? Because they couldn't feed. Most of them hit the tape of the net, some turned into lets ,and some came WAYYY too high, but I dealt with it.

yo're very very good for such a beginner, If I might make a suggestion, you would probably benefit from the old coaching tip of:

Imagine you're hitting through 4 balls instead of just one.

You could stand to make slightly cleaner contact, that old coaching tip will probably fix your swingpath though.

Let me know if it doesn't.

I can't really call those volleys except one or two hits that you did. Then why even put the volleys in? Couldn't you just have said "Oh, the feeds were horrible, couldn't do much with it." This is going to go no where.

Remember that you don't bring your racquet all the back to your shoulder, you only bring it to about your ear then use the punching technique.

Let me just say that, your groundstrokes/serves are technically sound and if you play for a long time you might make it to div2~div1 college.

And yes, I am ***.

I'll try that the next time I play, thanks.

That is all I was asking for Quicken. You didn't need to say I sucked, but Thank you for the volleying tip and I will work on that.

Thanks again.

Hey batman,

I think your serves, fh and bh in the tiebreak clip are really good. You looked relax and the ball went over with good pace.

Trust me I play with many adults who've been playing for years and still couldn't swing or serve like that. At this point I think you're only limited by physical strength which is understandable given your physique. I can imagine what your shots will be like if you put on muscles.

Great job.

Thanks for the reply, my serves in my Volleys/Overheads/Serves video is much better though .

Anyways, I think I am about to go play tennis again but this time with my friend Leon. I'll try to get some footage if I can of some matchplay.

I'd say D3, probably not 2 and definitely not 1. His groundstrokes are fine in terms of technique but they are not solid. Foot work needs a lot of work, you seem to keep running through the ball when you hit it instead of setting yourself up to hit it. Forward to back movement, none. Didn't see that many approaches so I'll leave that out. Volleys, well... I think you know judging from previous posters. Once again, can't exactly tell from the video since there were way too many unforced errors.

EDIT: I'm going to get a better tie-break up. At least I'll try to.

Regarding your volleys:

You're standing way too close to the net. You're
like a third of the distance between the service line
and the net. While that may be where you want to
end up when you hit the volley, you should probably
start off farther back, and then move in after the
ball has been struck. Then after hitting it, immediately
move back. Repeat. You're back swing is also
*WAY* to big. No way to have power and control against
any ball that's hit with a decent amount of pace.

Don't blame the feeds. Feeds, while not perfect, look
okay for volleying. Adjust to each feed hit to you.
You fairly short, so I bet some
of those feeds that you though were too high
actually were not and it was mostly b/c you were too
close to the net and couldn't adjust.

Nevermind. I can't play today. Family is going to the Kemah Boardwalk. (Some amusement park in Texas.)

We are playing on Sunday so I will try to get some video of more matchplay.

Well first of all (not to be mean or anythin') your shot selection is very poor. I mean the guy on the other side just basically messed up shots and thats how you won. There were no real winners or anything like that. If you were to play someone who could actually play consistently, then you probably would not win (based on the shot selection). Remember in a tennis match you also have to use the brain!

One thing i notice bigtime is that you swing way too much on your volleys and have a huge backswing. Shorten it up. You should only be swinging a little nudge.
