Default Dinosaur club (killer frames that died out) X1, 6.0, etc.

As a proud owner of an evolutionary dead end racquet, I urge fellow owners of meteor targeted equipment to declare their hopeless search for parallel evolutionary paths!

Sniff, my Slazenger X1's inch closer to doom with every overhead, every colorful string job, every new super-light super-stiff super-marketed live-bearing racquet introduced. Although we are still feasting, the meteor approacheth...

Slazenger users get priority membership, with twice the perks!

And in the fine tradition of Rickson, amused comments provided to disabuse anyone of the notion that they might learn something in this thread...

Members:
1 ) Slazenger X1 /Pro Braided - makes me even miss Henman
2 ) Wilson Pro Staff - family once ruled earth, descendants are now birds
3 ) Yonex Super RD Tour 90 - too dependent on eastern grip environment
4 ) Fischer VT98 Pro - vacuum technology that doesn't suck
5 ) Fischer Pro Number One - ended up imitating more than the pj
6 ) Prince Mono Precision - closed shaft obviously an advantage

Members Grip Accessories:
0 ) TenniseaWilliams - proud owner of the eX-1
1 ) Richard Pur - always first in a one man line
2 ) 007 - should warn other Technifibre 335 users of his jinx
3 ) Sentinel - old enough to know better
4 ) In D Zone - I still can't tell if his pun was intentional
5 ) North - not sure membership is a compliment
6 ) Ash_Smith - could figure out how to teach T.Rex an overhead
7 ) kairosntx - only with us until the Trilobite Club forms
8 ) dr_punk - people stop and stare at them on dates
9 ) nickb - future progeny to be named Yevgeny

Great! Double the perks? I should qualify as I recently decided to finally put down my Ultra FPK 95 after about 17 years, and realized that the Pro X1 is one of the few racquets, if not the only one, that I can play with reasonably well.

Is one of the perks getting priority for buying dinosaur racquets as they come available on the For Sale section?

in addition to my beloved X1, I also play with a 9 year old Fischer VT98 Pro 330g and a 7 year old Volkl C7 Pro. My Yonex RD TI 80 is only 2.5 years old but is now discontinued too. Love 'em all.

Yonex Super RD Tour 90
- there's quiet a big following on this one!

Prince Mono Precision - luv'em or hate 'em. It's one of the best kept jewel around.

Well, I'm in the dinosaur club. Really like the Slaz X1, alas discontinued. Sigh - it's a curse really. I liked the discontinued Fischer Pro Number One, too. Why do the good die young?

Hey, we didn't get were we are by paying attention. And those are just discontinued, heck they could have even evolved into better models!

List maintained in the first post, now that I have gained super edit powers.

And popular or not InDZone, racquets are obviously dying to get in.

I play with the red Jack Kramer Staff graphite. I've had them since 1985- 3 of them in my bag.

But I got one up-ed at last nights match, my opponent pulled a wilson sting out of his bag!

Hey, Tennisea - membership is definitely a compliment! Look how well the dinosaurs did 65 million years ago. Oh, wait.....lol.

Too bad it would probably not be profitable for a racquet company to make a limited number of dinosaur racquets periodically so people could replace the old racquets they still like.

I searched online for a racquet that would help me, but instead found a racquet that loved me

dr_punk & (2) P.S. 6.0 85 B.F.F.
