Nope...I think that just about covered it. lol.

If you're allergic to fruit then thats one thing. Saying it's overrated is something completely different...and also 120% false. Doctors in Asia have been eating upwards of 10 pieces of fruit per day for centuries. Not a single one has contracted Cancer. Thats odd.

I roughly follow the Evolutionary Fitness lifestyle. I follow it b/c it's easy and effective. Look it up if you want better info.

The main thing that helped me was cutting out refined carbs. I try and stay away from all pasta and bread, even whole wheat. Eat lots of lean meats and get your carbs from vegetables and fruit.

I don't worry about calories, protein shakes, sports drinks, etc.

Before a tennis match I'll be sure to eat lots of vegetable and some fruit. I'll also eat some nuts (walnuts, almonds, etc but not peanuts)

So far so good for me. I'm loosing weight and maintaining lean muscle.

Overrated, buddy. It's a fact that you get more vitamins and minerals from a good multi than from fruit. BTW, I'm pretty sure some fruit eating doctor from Asia has contracted cancer so to say that not a single one, is pretty bold.

You're losing water weight. I hope you don't get dizzy from your low carb diet.

BTW, that's very bad advice you're giving about getting carbs from vegetables and fruit. That's a recipe for some serious muscle loss because carbs are protein sparing. Do you really believe you can keep a lot of muscle on that kind of diet? You can't. The only reason bodybuilders go low carb a few days before a competition is to lose water weight.

Believe it or not, most bodybuilders eat great quantities of red meat. I, for some reason, haven't been eating enough of it just because quality beef seems harder to come by these days and I simply haven't been craving it as much.

But I still think red meat is the best for building muscles. Best for the muscles and best for the testosterone. Oysters apparently boost testosterone too. I love raw oysters.

I just had a sushi lunch. I just like the wasabi. I'm thinking of becoming one of those fish eating vegetarians. I gave up pork 4 years ago so I don't think it would be difficult to give up beef. I could never become a true vegetarian because I can only take so much tofu and my protein sources would be lacking.

I personally think you need all kinds of meats, though certain blood types require some less than others.

You gotta have beef in the diet at least once a week in my opinion. Just from eating beef my mind and body perk up. I feel the power of the blood red meat.

I eat 12 pieces of yellowtail almost every day from Whole Foods.

You don't need meat, you can get protein elsewhere. It takes more effort to be a vegetarian, but all things being equal you're healthier so at least you've got that.

It's not a low carb diet. I just get my carbs from vegetables and fruit.

Look at a meal like this. There are plenty of carbs there.

You can retain muscle by eating like this. The purpose of this way of eating is to be strong, lean, and athletic. I'm not trying to look like a bodybuilder.

This guy has been eating this way for 4 years. He looks ok.

This guy is a division 1 football player:

This guy came up with a lot of the evolutionary fitness stuff and he's been strictly eating according to evo fitness for 30 years. He looks ok at 70:

There's this guy too (small pic at bottom):

Fruits and vegetables are fine for getting carbs. What else is there? Butterfingers and M&M's?

I know people are going to chime in with specifics on caloric intake, but I feel that the instinct pretty much takes cares of this.

When you're hungry eat, but try to eat a moderate sized meal so you're hungry again in 3 hours. Repeat this pattern and your metabolism should get a boost.

Watch that soy intake then. I hear it lowers sperm count.
