Default Which Guy Will Finally Beat Federer?

These guys have never beaten Federer. If any of them were to get that 1 ton bagel out of the way, who would likely do it?

Davydenko
Ferrer
Blake
Youzhny
Robredo
Malisse
Moya
Nieminen
Soderling

Shame Roddick is out of it now. I would have to go for Davydenko, just because he's the best player.

Roddick was out since 2003.

Soderling on hard courts has a chance. He's one of the few guys on the list who doesn't have too much respect for the Fed. I get the same vibes from Youzhny in a way.

Davydenko - he has the game to do it if he plays like he did agaisnt Rafa in Miami.

^^^As much as I like Blake, Fed just eats up his game. Blake's flat shots just feed into the Fed wheelhouse - i.e. see Blake get pw3nd in the year end Masters by Fed - that match was a striaght-up Fed winner clinic.

I think Davydenko has the best chance from the list to beat Federer. He was very close in beating Federer in the first set in Estoril, it probably could have gone either way and he was up a break in the second before he had to retire due to an injury.

I'm guessing this site as well as the majority of fans don't count Davis Cup.

Davydenko was definitely an inspired tennis player against Nadal in Miami. Beautiful to watch, and just simply dominating. If he can keep it together to play that way against Fed, he does have a chance.

Two guys can claim ownage over Fed: Rafter (3-0) and Kafelnikov (4-1). A serve and volleyer that quit while he was at his peak and a guy with one of the greatest 2HBH ever. Yet Fed pwns Aussie Hewitt 13-5 (11 straight), Russian Davydenko 12-0, and Russian Youzhny 10-0. Looks like Fed took his frustrations out on those helpless souls.

Hewitt down 7-13 to Federer. I dont know where did you get the info from but its a faulty place so it seems.

Davydenko for sure. He lost his fear of Federer in Estoril. And Soderling, if he gets by Nalbandian. I know that Robredo is in between, but he does not count these days.
