I really want to add this one girl to my mixed team but I'm worried she would get disqualified if anyone googled her and complained. she played one year at a D3 school (#4 singles) and they finished #23 that year, I dont know what her record was. she also played a mixed league the summer after that as a 4.5, and went 1-2 and earned a mixed exclusive rating. would she get DQ'd?
also, she is probably a very strong 4.5 and a boderline case for being bumped up, but if she played a full season of 4.5 I highly doubt she would get DQd by the computer, if that makes a difference Last edited by randomname : 04-23-2008 at 02:20 PM. |

Since she already has a rating then I wouldn't worry. The only problem that could arise is if she misrepresented herself when self-rating. If you are a ranked DIII player under 30 years old she needs to self-rate at 5.5. 31-45 at 5.0, and 46-55 at 4.5. If she is under 46 and self-rated at 4.5 and someone found out she could be DQ'd.

if she got a 4.5 MXD rating then she is in the computer and nothing can be done. A grievance could be filed I guess if her 4.5 rating was more than three years ago.

well, according to the usta guidelines she shouldnt be 4.5 but if someone filed a grievance would the usta be more likely to say "shes obviously at the right level" or "screw you common sense, the chart says 5.5 so shes a 5.5"

Your player could be computer Dq'd for whipping people, but that is hard to do in mixed. |

I can't speak for anywhere else, but at least in norcal there are no 3-strikes DQs in mixed.

Just glancing back at posts and came across this. Way too late to help now but for future reference a Mixed Only rating can be DQ'd.
