Hey folks,
I overheard some guys on the courts next to me talk about a hybrid: Dunlop Black Widow (mains) Kirschbaum Synthetic Gut (cross) Have any of you tried this particular setup? What are your thoughts on this? Wouldn't the sharp edges quickly cut into the syngut? Thanks in advance!

Indeed. I strung BW 16/S-Gut 16 and my client popped it just as fast as he was popping full syn gut, thus making the poly use pointless. This was in an 18x20 radical too, mind you. We're now trying Pro-Line II / Gen. Thunderblast.

Thank PV. I'll give it a go since I already have a set of BW laying around and some junk syngut as well.
Hopefully I can get a couple of hours out of it.

Funny you should mention PLII and TB. I just strung that combo up in my Prestige Pro. Great hybrid. Plays very well in all areas. Seems to actually enlarge the sweet spot on the PP, still maintains great control. I can't speak for longevity but very impressive otherwise.
