Default Racquets matched but play different?

I leaded up my M-fil 300's so that they are now the exact same weight and balance (320g/about 3 pts HL). However, i can still detect very noticeable differences between them. One has a "crisp" sort of feel, less power and for some reason it seems more manueverable. The other feels very "trampoliney", has much less stability in the head and seems less manueverable.

Any ideas to why i am feeling this?

Oh and if it helps for any reason, one of them is a demo version (yellow grommets)

If one racquet is older than the other or has been played more than probably because of the materials in your racquet breaking down (forgot the word for it)

Could the answer be even more obvious ?

Could it be the stringers fault - he may have strung them at different tension or maybe two different stringers strung your rackets without you knowing it. The first guys strings one racket HIS way, then he has to go and leaves the other racket to the other stringer in the shop and he strings the racket slightly differently than the first guy....could this be the explanation ?

yes but he also said a racquet feels less maneuverable. which would lead me to believe there is probably a difference in swingweight.

i am with you.....you can have the same weight and balance exactly, but the swingweight will not always match.

but two racquets of the make and model with the same weight and balance will have the same weight distribution (or at least99% similar) therefore in theory will have the same swingweight (again at least 99% similar). The only ways they will feel different are: different strings, different tension, wear and tear of one frame or different flex due to qc.

Take two of them in your hands and bang with a frame of 1st the strings of the 2d - now take 2d and with it's frame hit the strings of the 1st.

Do they sound the same? If not, then one will sound more crispy, which means it was strung at higher tension.

Strings. Check Your Strings. Check your stringer.

i respectfully disagree with parts of this. same weight and balance does NOT mean same weight distribution (in the lay up). therefor, swingweights can be different.

hey, lol i string my own racquets both of which i strung on the same day with the same string, lol so i dont think thats it. Oh and they were not matched originally. They were about 4-5 g's off and about 2 pts of balance off. So i added weight to both until they were the same.

Yea, then the sw was originally different and it's hard to get the swingweights the same afterwards.

Strings, swing weight, flex, etc. Could be a lot of different things or a combination

Often, sponsored or competetive players obtain their racquets serialized and from the same batch.

2/3/4 at a time.

My son played DIII college tennis and this was how he obtained his racquets. I had the pleasure of hitting with his sticks and the similarity was remarkable. He was playing Wilson Tour 95 at the time. His coach obtained 4 with serial no's consecutive.....

If you don't have access to this you might have to just buy a few of the same frame till you find 2 or 3 that satisfy you. Unfortunately, this is what I have to do.

Sell the others back on the big site that don't feel the same, if you pick a popular frame you might even make a few extra dollars....

Good luck....

Default TWU Customization Tool To Match Racquets

You need to be able to match the weight, balance and swingweight of the racquet. The easiest way to match racquets is to go to the new TWU Customization Center:

http://twu.tennis-warehouse.com/lear...omization.html

There you can enter the specs you have, the ones you want and it will determine how much and where to add weight. Here's what a sample solution might look like (not to your particular problem...just a random example):
