To the OP, when I'm 50 if I can get HGH legally I will. I'm not saying some crazy body builder dosage. I'm talking about hormonal replacement type dosages. When I'm 50++ I want my hormone levels that of an average 30 year old.

It helps prevent the normal muscle lose and bone density decreases. It's' also supposed to help your skin and "Male Issues", energy, blah, blah, blah.

Long story short IF QUALITY product is administered and monitored properly by qualified medical personnel, from everything I've read it's relatively safe and very beneficial.

The fact is that currently there are few legal ways for most people to get HGH, etc. So you would be ordering random Horse piss off the internet.

Orderign from online pharmacies you could get a low grade product, or you could get a toxic substance. The russian mob and others are in this business, and they really don't give a crap about anyone so you generally have no idea what you are injecting or ingesting.

So until the DEA changes the rules I'd say don't even think about ordering this stuff.

Agreed. As a means to increase LBM within the BB community, HGH's reputation is really poor. With all the side effects that megadosages (note: making distinction between that and the "male hormone therapy" that richw76 mentioned )would cause, why?!?

As I mentioned previously, I was not dispensing suggestions in post #14, I was asking a question about hGH releasers. I was not taking a stance -- in fact, i presented a couple of contrary perspectives on its usefulness. However, I will now address the point that you brought up.

As I understand it, hGH is released periodically during the day with the largest & most predictable release occurring shortly after the onset of sleep -- during the first sleep cycle (I'll take your word for it that it happen during stage 3 &/or 4). Not really sure if most of our daily hGH release occurs during sleep as you indicated. I've read that the largest release occurs during sleep (but have not seen any numbers on what % of the total daily release this might be).

It is also my understanding that exercise, particularly strenuous exercise, has a significant effect on the release of hGH. I believe that hGH releaser products are intended to be taken just prior to exercise and, more importantly, just prior to the onset of sleep. This would appear to be in keeping with your assertion that it is best not to interfere with the timing of hGH release.

On the other hand, hGH injections would probably not be in sync with the timing of our natural release cycles.
