Default Laser Update(?)

My chiropracter is pretty avid about keeping up with medical literature and says that there are some more recent studies validating laser therapy for soft tissue damage. (Evidently, it's really easy to do a double blind study with a laser, since the patient can't feel it or see it.) Sounds like they've also "fine-tuned" what the optimum frequencies and power levels should be.

My own experience a year ago, was getting barely noticeable relief for my wrist. But my chiropracter is also an avid tennis player and he thinks laser treatment (with a recently purchased personal unit) of his knee saved him from surgery.

Just curious if any one else has recent experience with lasers. Guys are selling units on E-bay for around $1,000 and I was considering purchasing one...
