The Williams Sisters first used Poly when they got onto the scene. In 2005, Serena switched to Natural Gut at the Australian Open. She hit a lot more Unforced Errors and a lot of loopy topspin balls.

This is completely incorrect. The Williams sisters used Wilson Extreme Synthetic gut, for the first couple of years on tour, then switched to Wilson natural gut. They still use full natural gut. They never used polyester strings.

She does not use full ALU regardless of what her coach says. You can search Jura's French Open logs or Getty Images. It is clearly a white/grey hybrid and Jura confirms it Wilson Gut/ALU Power.
