Good Stringing machine?
Was looking to save a little coin and start stringing my own raquets. I was wondering what would be a good machine to start off with. Price/performance?

Most of the people (more than 5) that I know use Klippermate stringing machine. It's not terribly expensive and for most racquets, it does a decent job of stringing (except for Head Ti.S7). I also use a Klippermate.

$500 gets you a nice machine with fixed clamps and a multi-point mounting system. Alpha, Silent Partner, Mutual Power, Gamma. Lots of threads re: people going through the same process.

i'm pretty sure most people here are going to tell you to save a few bucks to get the REVO it seems like a pretty perfect machine for what your going to be using it for/wanting to spend on it.... btw I have a spot in line for one that I wont be needing anymore... its up for grabs and should be ready in like a week or so... who wants it??!?!

Well he'll probably just tell Mark at Alpha to sell it to you instead of him, so you'll have to pay full retail price for it. Which is $599 plus shipping ($50ish) if I remember correctly. And if that's too much, the Gamma X-6FC and Alpha Pioneer DC+ would be the next step down in your price range. They're nearly identical machines, so take your pick.

just think about the volume of racquets you will be stringing and features you want and narrow it down to a few that meets your needs and wants.
