The best interface between the hand and the racquet's grip I've found has 2 components, one you put on before hitting, the other you wrap as often as you think you need to:
PrinceGrip Plus - a little dab on the hands goes a long way, a little $5 bottle lasts a long time Tournagrip II XL - Nothing feels better |

I tried Wilson Pro Grips. I like them. They're way easier to put on than Tournagrip (cut to shape, WAY longer, and they have a bit of adhensive on the end to hold it in place when you start, plus they're packaged better). They've also got a tacky feel and a bit more overall grip when new than TG, but I think I prefer the super-absorbency of TG, which is cheaper and easier to find. Plus the white gets pretty nasty real fast with my hands.
Also, the extra grip tends to rub on one spot on my thumb. I should definitely get some sort of hand spray... I'll probably end up switching between Pro overgrips and TG on a whim... still want to try TGII and Supergrap, and maybe a few Prince and Babolat overgrips. I've got two TGXLs on my new racquet... *cough* *cough* |

So I'm seeing that players like the Tourna II better then the original Tourna... where could I purchase Tourna II?

The reviews of the Gamma OGs are almost unanimously unfavorable on TW...

Oh yeah, are Super Graps angle-cut for easier installation like Wilson Pro OGs are? It would be nice to have the little bit of tape on the tip to hold it in place too.

I was referring to the Pro overgrip. The Supreme's sound pretty decent.

From reading this thread, I'm going to try the gamma supreme. But I want to order this gauze from TW also. Real cheap and I don't think you would slip. Anyone ever try this and if so, what did you think.

Gauze is terrible. I used it in elementary school where the wood and aluminum racquets were gripped with gauze. It felt awful then and it feels awful now.
With all the great overgrips now available, why would you grip your racquet with gauze?

Well my son plays now and he inherited my sweaty hands. I know it's not the same sport, but I played raquetball seriously and I used to use gauze and it worked for me. I also used to go through three pair of gloves per match. Just trying to figure something out for him. I saw a spray on one of the threads and can't remember now where you spray it on your hands and you don't sweat.

The best one I ever used was made by Sportmaster. They, unfortunately, are out of business. They were the best ones I have ever used. I try to save them if I ever need to work on my grip. They were out of Texas and were always at the ATP event in Cincinnati. If anyone has any I'd be glad to buy them from you.

Before I could afford to replace my tournagrip every set, I used to have to carry a rosin bag in my pocket. Kind of like Lendl's sawdust. It worked great, but it is messy. I used it all through high school. I am a big sweater. I tried all the adhesive sprays and what-not. ANd frankly nothing worked as well as the rosin bag. ANd they were super cheap. You will also get some extra play out of your grips. I just got tired of the dust on my shorts adn everywhere else. I kept the tennis balls in one pocket and the rosin bag in the other throughout my matches. I would toss the bag around in my hand, and then pat it a few times on the racquet. Excellent stuff.

TW doesn't sell it but I have heard good things about it. I want to try it.
