Default so sore after playing 3 times a day! how can i not feel sore?

okay,

well i've been playing so much lately because i want to be really good at tennis and possibly play D-1 tennis. i practice twice a day for 5-6 days a week and sometimes it's three times a day if I have a tournament that day. Could somebody tell me something that would really help keep my muscles not so tight everyday because i seem to be so sore after playing 2 times a day then playing a tournament that night (up to possibly 3 matches if i win) and then the next day i feel very sore all over my body and play horrible! I would like to know some types of foods, drinks, etc. that would make me energized, and ready to play the next day? thanks!

Take a day off. What you are doing is constantly hammering your body. If you dont take them to let your body heal itself, you could end up with a serious injury.

ps: so lucky you can play so much...

Do some research on the word 'overtraining'. Maybe if you don't want to be sore, don't play 3 times a day!

if your going to be playing this much tennis, make sure you have the right kind of shoes for the courts you play on
not all shoes are designed to withstand hardcourt play like your doing
as stated above, dont over do it
young people do this often and pay for it latter on in their years
as per your question, their is no liguid or medicine that will be as good for you as "rest"
but if you must, get in a havit of stretching properly before and ive also heard after a match, as much tennis as you are playing, this would help you prevent major paynes, muscle pulls and all that
oh yeah, i guess this is a given, the more you play, the more you have to keep the body hydrated, ask a coach for what drinks you might need, i would start with water, but also gatorate and such drinks would be needed with as much exercise as your doing, pure water is not gonna cut it
by the way, all of what i said is coming to you straight out of my own experience (hard-nocks university)

Remember to eat within 60 minutes after your workout. Supposedly that and massages allow cyclists to train daily for several hrs without the aches and pains.

massive amounts of protein supplements
barricade 4 or 5's
maybe try to play more intelligently and try hard only in needed situations

Had a dubs partner that played three times/day. He only played 45-60 minutes per session. Diet is really important. http://healthlibrary.epnet.com/GetCo...chunkiid=13877
