Default Laserfibre Quantum

Hi, Does anyone have a Laserfibre Quantum stringer yet? I have ordered one and still have not seen any pictures of it. Can anyone review it?

Thanks

How have you ordered one? The line has yet to be released.

I think that someone is pulling your chain. I'm on the "waiting list" too, & they've written me a "receipt" stating that I'm on the "waiting list" for a "machine." I think that it's been about two months since they told me that they would be sending me a "picture" of the "machine" in about a "week." My "machine" should have left their "warehouse" on the 15th of this month.

Anyway, I'll be getting an Apex II if things go as planned.

I guess that it's possible that they have them, but they haven't responded to any of my e-mails and they never sent me the photos that they promised to me.

Call them. I did and now their phone is disconnected. It is not looking good. Laserfibre has hit the iceberg and may be going down... Sad to see them in trouble.
I am actively looking for another stringing machine. I called Alpha and left a message.

Can you post the email they sent and when? I am curious to read it.

Thanks

It would be interesting to find out what really happened. I mean there's got to be more to the story than someone just being a little flaky.

To: Almerick Tantuco SO
Subject: RE: Stringing Machine - Intl Buyers

Thank you for your inquiry.

Please note that the MS200 ECO model has been discontinued and is being replaced by the all new updated LaserFibre Smart Stringer. Approximate availability is mid-June 2008. Price: approximately $229

While the MS200 TT series is still available, those too have been completely redesigned and updated in our New Quantum Series machines.

Each Quantum Series stringing machine provides our unique Smart Weight Tensioning System in delivering single pull / any angle accuracy and true constant pull operation now with Automatic Tension Control. The new Smart Weight tensioner of the new Quantum is infinitely easier and faster to operate than the older MS200 style. Plus, the new Smart Weight system is virtually maintenance free as compared to the older system.

Other improved and updated features for the new Quantum Series include:

1. Our new AirFrame, 6-point suspension mounting system that is proven to offer more support and protection for all racquets and without the need for many specialized support adaptors for new release racquet designs that the older MS200 system requires.
2. Our PosiTrac double action clamping system. This is a vast improvement over the older MS200 style. The new system is now virtually drawback free for reduced tension loss and moves around the turntable as smooth as silk. Plus, the new PosiTrac system can reach every string on every racquet whereas the older style from the MS200 had many limitations with most of the new release racquet designs.
3. Recalibrated tensioning lever for easier and faster operation.
4. Built in tool tray.
5. Updated commercial build quality all steel frame.
6. Plus more.

Best of all, the new Quantums are being built here in the US. Therefore, on average, they tend to be about $150 - $200 LESS expensive than the older MS200 series machines.

Please see the attached price list and warranty information.

LaserFibre stringing machines are available only through LaserFibre direct. Please feel free to call toll free at 1.888.895.2350 for more information.

Next availability on the Quantum Series stringing machines is mid-late March, 2008

Feel free to let us know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,

Ted Benjamin

Subject: RE: Stringing Machine - Intl Buyers

Thanks again for the inquiry. Because of the newness of the Quantums and the high demand here in North America, we have not yet made them available to international distributors.

We have shipped several already to Australia and Europe direct from LaserFibre and oddly, 1 to the Kingdom of Bhutan.

For the time being, they can only be purchased direct from LaserFibre and shipped directly.

We will have our European and Australian distributors stocked up by July. We do not have any Asian distributors in the pipeline at this time.

Please feel free to let us know if you have any other questions.

Best regards.

Mysterious that all of those have been shipped, yet there isn't a single photo on the World Wide Web.

Their phone number is back in operation. I also learned something new. If you dial 1-800 instead of 1-888 for their phone number you get an interesting message!!!
