Default Decided to get the Alpha Revo 4000

Just wondering if the Machine comes with everything I need? even the clamp to hold the tension?

Anyways on this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ygwsr...eature=related

He is using an automated puller or whatevr u call it.

Is there any video out there that can guide me on how to use this Alpha Revo?

I got a feeling that I will be wasting a lot of string before achieving my first successful string racquet.

Automated or nonautomated, it makes no difference. Here's another vid but with a revo

Now I can string my own racquet without getting overcharged!

Gamma x-2? Are you sure you didn't mean something else. There's a boatload of differences.

gamma x-2 is definitely NOT a crank. it's a dropweight, and now it runs about 159. sorry, you got your machines mixed up.

Do you use you're x-2 for customer frames as well? Just curious, because I think I remember you mentioning your inventory (did you used to have a McEnroe avatar?)

yes, i do use it for my customers, if i need to take them home. i usually am stringing on a star3 or gamma 8800 ELS..

the x-2 gets some use, but only about 10 a week or so..and looking to upgrade to a Gamma Progression ST II. why do you ask?
My current stock reflects the fact that the majority of my customers take my advice on different strings..

i have a half reel of Gosen og micro, mostly for myself. i have about 80 percent of a reel of OG Sheep Micro 16, A reel of Cyberflash 16, A reel of NRG2 16, and a reel of Ashaway Liberty 16. i also keep around about 5 sets apiece of each of these: OG Sheep Micro 17, Cyberblue 17, Cyberflash 17, and X-one biphase 16.

At my club and the sporting goods store i work at, i just use the strings they have there, rather than my own stock. 90% of the time i'm doing PHT/PSGD hybrids at the club, or else Lux hyrids with duraflex. at Dick's, i usually do either kevlar or synthetic gut, mostly the latter.

Just curious because i've heard it wouldn't be a good idea to do customer racquets with an x-2. I hope to upgrade to an Alpha Revo or better soon.

Nice with the Star 3. Is that the one that many companies have copied clamp bases off of?

possibly, im not sure myself, but it does seem like the clamp style is used everywhere. but the tension readout is a gauge, not a digital readout..hehe.
