I use tourna grip over the leather grip using grup size 4 1/4. However, most of the rackets I found are in 4 3/8.
I need to take-off the leather grip, and want to replace it with a synthetic one. What is the recommended replacement grip? My hand is very slippery, and so far only Tourna grip & yonex supergrab works well. I have broken several rackets in the past, as it slips from me during my first serve. I hold a friend's racket with Head hydro control. I like the feel, almost as soft as leather. How is it in the "absorption" performance? |

I have relatively "wet" hands and I found that Wilson MicroDry Feel replacement grip works incredibly well for me. My first one lasted about 4 or 5 months playing on clay in humid conditions, which was amazing. I've never had a grip or overgrip handle sweat/moisture as well as this one.
After the grip wore out, I put a Wilson Pro Overgrip over it. I was disappointed in this overgrip. It wasn't tacky enough nor did it hold my grip well enough. I gave it a good try and used it until it wore out, which was a couple of days ago. I then removed the grip and overgrip and put on another MicroDry Feel replacement grip. I played with it last night and it was great. It has a nice slightly tacky feel and it holds my grip well. I aslo bought some white Yonex SuperGrap overwrap, which I've never tried, but I heard is good. I'll try it when my grip wears out again. |

Thank you all. The Wilson Microdry was recommended by the sales person of my local tennis shop, but I went ahead with more tourna grips.
I will definitely try it. By the way, I like Yonex supergrab. It also works for me. After using it, tourna grip feels very thin. I will also read the recommended website. |

I dont know... I think most replacements grips are pretty similar but if your going to put an overgrip on it what difference does it make?

I am looking for a replacement grip without the need of using overgrip.
