Default ball machines any real value in performance tennis training programmes

how can a ball machine be used in junior tennis training.

isnt it better to rally with a partner or be fed balls by a coach/parent

regards,

tricky.

It depends on the ball machine. Some of the more expensive ones seem to fit well with advanced training regimes. Even a less expensive one, though, can be good because it allows the coach/trainer to be on the same side of the court as the student, rather than having to shout the length of the court.

Save yourself the money. Build a brick wall and point her to it.

Cool

Hi tricky

Ball machines are the best thing since sliced bread.
If a coach can feed you 500 ball an hour... a ball machine will feed 3-4 times as many. There are machines for all sorts of players and skill levels. I live in Sydney Australia and currently have a SAM SP-4 machine. You can even download a 13 or 14 page drill training manual from the SAM webpage www.samtennis.com from memory it's in the download section. Have a look... it's only a few clicks away.
