Default Yonex Hingis racquet. Tension question

I was wondering how much I can go above the max. tension safely on this racquet? I need to be able to feel a tighter string bed or suggestion on string that would make the racquet play stiffer. Thanks in advance. Jack

Jack, are you looking for a stiffer feel or lower power/more control? If it's a stiiff feel you're looking for try the Lux line of strings, Ace, Timo or Alu Power. Also, Kirsh Competition has a firm feel. If you want a normal feeling strinbed, but lower power try some of the polyolefin based strings like Head RIP Perfect Control or ISO Speed Control or Head Intellistring. The square head shape is weaker. Excess tension on the mains puts more stress on the top of the frame and can cause cracking.
