Hey Steve...some guy did a brief playtest review of the Barricade Tour..it's likely on the 3rd or 4th page down..It got very few responses even though I thought this was good news and big news for the tennis biz..nuthin but the birds chirpin' in that thread because their racquets arent either an old obsolete racquet and/or because Fed or Sampras doesnt play a paintjob of it..best of the holiday season. All I can say is that I'll be swinging one the minute they hit the TW website. adidas makes the best gear in the world for athletes, so I'm confident they'll be great frames.

I think these would be worth a demo. I for one wish them luck - don't think I'll grab one, but they should make a lot of people happy.

A 12 oz 95 si 18*20 frame sounds cool. K95 and AG200 have it covered from either side of stiffness, and with similar balance. Wonder what the Barricade will offer to differentiate itself from these two.

Looks like they are going thru a large contract manufacturer. I suspect Adidas will have less involvement in the design (they are calling in external consultants) than say Wilson or Head. That being said, if the contract manufacturer has the production aspects figured out, it shouldn't take much effort to specify 3 racquet models. The R&D comes in if you are fiddling with materials (Karophite or Microgel) or new concepts (speedports). To specify a run-of-the-mill racquet is no big deal today I think. Several posters here can do it.

Is that what Lendl used? Or was it a Mizuno?
