Here's by the way the unique high-light of the match -- a 72h Piotr monologue in which includes mocking Pervak's height and demeaning her daughter from translations I've read here and around. Lol

Wozniacki started 2012 number 1, and ends s on the verge of leaving the top 10, and a loss to a sub 100 player.

She needs to spend more time on the courts, and less time courting.

Yes but even if she did so, what exact improvements does she have left in her game ? Her forehand is just technically so bad that she would need to take like a 6 months or more off the tour to completely break-down her actual motion and rebuild it from scratch.

Wozniacki has simply made the most out of her game.

She's tried being offensive and it doesn't work out (she even took beat-downs playing that style against Kerber for example in Stuttgart...) - her results have worsened, she's lost all confidence and her defensive/retrieving game has been figured out since ages. Even if she came back to her old form she'd still be taking defeats as illustrated with Pervak [who isn't the best offensive player out there neither, she made 21 W for something like 60 UE's lol and still won].

That said, her defending is really back to it's peak IMO compared to her 2012 form.

Probably? LOL

Sam is worse at her home major than Mauresmo was at hers.

Peer lost easily in Auckland. So much for that extended rest

Kvitova out to Pavlyuchunky. Maria withdrew. Hantuchova notched a win over Errani. WTA picking up right where it left off.

Yep, and Serena winning matches in her sleep again too. She has most of these chicks beaten before the warmup!

FWIW Pavs looks like she got rid of the baby fat finally. This may be her breakout year finally.

I see both as saving themselves from too much wear before the AO, as each realizes the field poses threats so grave, they need to be at 100% efficiency in order to have a chance.

Had to do a double-take because of all that make-up, but here is Apple's latest TV ad featuring the Williams sisters (no, seriously).
