Wasn't it more like in 2007 a few HEAD players had been signed by Wilson but since they were trying to push the new [K]Factor stuff they gave them the Six-One paintjob until they released the [K]Blade which is more like a HEAD frame (no PWS etc).

Well, if something happened in transit to his racquets and he had to borrow Dima's (like Stepanek did in Beijing with Djokovic), he would just have had to make do and adjust to the standard length. I don't think it's that unreasonable that he just borrowed Dima's racquets and did his best to adjust tot he different length, considering the alternative would have been to default the tournament i guess. and i'm sure he could have the stringer put the head logo on his strings to make his sponsors happy, and make the best of a bad situation.

I think this is the case. Good call.

lets not forget that his doubles partner (llodra) uses the kblade also, so perhaps that was the racket he was using, not tursunov's

clement switching to wilson, or he could be doing what stepanek did with djokovic's racquet at masters cup.

I was referring to the difference of the paint job of the KBlade Tour vs. Kbalde MP. That Clement has the Kblade MP cosmetics while Tursonov has Kblade Tour cosmetics.

Llodra uses the [K]Pro iirc, although it's from the mold of a ProStaff of some sort.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the PT630 is a 'midplus' head size (630sq cm = 98 sq in) whereas the Head mid mold is 600 sq cm = 93 sq in. And yes I know about the discussion re how Head measure their rqt heads.

Yes, true; only Borg had his "head" stencil "tilted" in an odd manner, like horizontal instead of vertical, for some reason. Guess we'll never know the true story behind that either....

At least he did black out his K90 some times. It was only a few times where he had the K90 with the Head stencil, and either Wilson or Head was not happy... forgot haha...

You're right, I'm wrong. Great call. Must have been the PT600 or something along those lines. My mistake.

Before Wilson Tursunov used the i.Prestige MP (630cm2) with the Paint Job of the FXP Prestige MP. Before that it had a LM Prestige Paint Job, before that it had actually i.Prestige MP cosmetics, before that Tursunov actually used the Ti. Radical MP, and before that Tursonov used the ProKennex Kinetic 5G.

Now that I know it's Turnsunov , I figure it may interest some people and have posted it as this separate new thread.... (you can clearly see the Wilson grommets in the below pics...)

If you did not try to bust me on the actual racquet that Tursunov uses we would not have to go through this kind of exercise.

Sorry for hijacking this thread everyone.

it cant be tursnovs racquet because his paint job of the racquet is a kblade tour and clements is the 98 and even if it was his why would tursnov have a head stencil on his racquet

Clement got the racquets restrung and had the tournament stringer put on a head stencil to keep his sponsors happy. I'm sure it's in his contract that he has to play with a head stencil. even if in this instance neither his racquet nor his string were made by head.

Watching the Murray - Clement match right now...

Don't know if Clement is having the same problems with his rackets as in Rotterdam, but Clement -again- is playing with a "Wilson kBlade" (or something that is painted to look like a kBlade).

This time around, Clement isn't even using a Head-stencil, he's playing with all white strings.

Did he really get dumped by Head this time or what?
