and please...nobody say anything about him changing his racquet head size, or changing his underwear or anything else.

Here's a detailed playtest and eval of Roger's N90. As far as I know, nobody has gotten their hands on one of his K90s for a playtest and posted the results online. There are also pictures comparing the retail/Federer versions of the N90 if you look around the site. I swear, they're there somewhere.

Peace.

His tension depends on which surface he is playing on.

I've got one of Federer's actual match K6.1 Tour from the 08 season, will post some pictures of it along with the retail versions over the weekend. Federer uses a grip size of 4 3/8 (L3), with white overgrip.

C'mon guys, have a little faith, I was at work yesterday so I could only get round to posting the pics this weekend, afterall I gotta take the photos first right? Anyway, here are photos, Roger's racquet is the one on the left (I added the Federer photo with him holding his racquet for a bit of a comparison).

Okay, but how do you know he has played with it? Not being an arse, but just wondering.

What are the specs, I'm sure EVERYONE here is dying to know weight and balance...oh, and is the string spacing EXACTLY the same as retail?

Waiting with bated breath...

String spacing looks different in the pics, I don't believe that Feds stick is stock. Spacing on Feds looks alot more sparse at the bottom of the stringbed. Am I right Fab?

Please, please, please, can you bounce a tennis ball on the strings of both rackets whilst it is in your hands, and report back any differences (if any).

I anticipate that Feds racket will have a much softer feel at the racket tip and edges. Is this true? Plus, I believe it may also make a different sound. Can you report back if the noise at the tip is hollow or muffled?

A lot to ask, I know, but damn man, you will really be making my day with this info.

Actually, you are right, I wouldn't know if he had really used the racquet, its not like I got it from Roger personally. I got it at an IMG sponsored event and they told me it was used at one of the masters series events, possibly Madrid, I don't know. Sorry but I'm not a techinical guy where it comes to racquets, I know only about grip size and tension, and the tension probably varies for him from event to event, but I do not know the tension for this racquet. It is defitely a used racquet though, as there is a fairly deep scratch at the top of the frame, I have added a few more pics, the first pic shows the scratch and also note the string savers, second pic shows the racquet with a sort of date stamp on it probably specifying which match it was to be used for, the last pic is of the retail racquet (see the difference). The racquet is strictly a collector's item for me, so I will never use it on the court, I'm happy with my retail K6.1 tours

Hey mate, Nice pics! I take it their's no way you could pap the frame on a scale and find out it's weight?

Just thought I'd ask!

Yeah, that stick is the real deal. Definitely not last used in Madrid though. Nate usually strings for Roger in Madrid, and I can tell from the pics that I was the last person to string this particular frame. Glad to hear that you aren't going to hit with it. Keep it nice and safe on a wall somewhere in your home. The gut will end up breaking eventually. When that happens, feel free to contact us, and we'll be glad to restring it, if that is something you'd want.

This is the real deal. Gut mains, lux crosses, power pads, black tape at the top of the overwrap etc. Also, the way the overgrip is wrapped is done JUST as Roger has it done for him.

I'd say this is the first legit "Fedstick" posted here in a long time.

And thanks for sharing!

Fabfed..thanks for taking the time to post the pictures. I bet the forum would at least like to know what the static weight and balance are, and if you have access to a RDC what the RA stiffness and swingweight is.

Congrats on your acquisition..sweet!

Fab,
would it be possible to take the racquet to a local tennis shop/club and ask them to perform some measurements (specs)? It would probably be free since they would get to test the specs on a genuuine article. Lost of people wonder if there are any differences between the retail and Roger stick. Also, do you see any lead anywhere?
