Default 16G on a mid?

I am thinking about stringing up my Kblade Tour with Big Banger Original 16 in the mains and Gosen Micro in the crosses. Does anyone find stringing a racquet with small headsize/dense pattern with a 16 gauge string problematic?

Also, does it make things worse if I decide to use a 17G string in the crosses with a 16G in the main (aside from a durability standpoint)?

Thanks for your help in advance.

I think part of it stems from the tension you use. I've hit with 16g poly in the mid 50s in Prestige Mid and it was quite nice but if the tension had been higher, I would not have cared for it.

For example, in that same MG Mid, I tried K gut 16g at 62 and really did not like it: no power and boardy (for me). That same stick with Head Fxp 17 at 57 is a dream: much more pocketing and comfort-really nice on touch shots.
