I play straight up just no vibe. damp. at all. I looove the pinging noise. I feel like i can feel the strings much better without one.

I would play with no vibration dampener but the vibration really makes my arm hurt.

For some reason with any vibration dampener i just feel like i can't tell where the balls hits the strings or something. I guess i like the feedback you get with using no vibration dampener

Have you tried leather power pads? They are supposed to dampen just as well as any other dampener without losing any feel/feedback.

No, TW does not stock these, but you can make them yourself, or next time you get your stick strung at the shop just ask them for power pads and I think they will do it free of charge. Here are two useful threads that you will want to take a look at:

Some players do feel they reduce feel/feedback like regular dampeners, but you should try them yourself because to each his own.

OO now i know what your talking about. I have like 20 of them just laying around! I'm pretty sure they come standard with POG's. I think i'll try a few in my PS 85.

Thanks

Default Putting on leather power pads myself

gmlaslam or any other that could,

If I wanted to make and install leather power pads myself, could you post pictures of how big they should be and how you install them for a better explanation such as the above post?

I sure will, but I need to find some old leather strips laying around the house. Perhaps, I should use an old leather belt. I will post a howto pic when I get everything going.

I think a easy way to make them would be to talk a leather grip and cut out a little peice to fit it and then fold the leather in half so the two sticky sides keep it together.
