Smile Cyber blue Spikey shark

Hi,

All my rackets are currently strung with luxilon big banger @ 60lbs but i'm looking for a cheaper alternative (but not too cheap). I already have some prince topspin lying around and I can get a reel of cyber blue or kirschbaum spikey shark quite cheap.

What do ppl think of a cb/topspin or a ss/cb or a ss/cb hybrid?

Thanks

I really like the Spiky Shark and you should definitely pick up a set and give it a try before investing in a reel.

The Spiky Shark offers lots of bite on the ball and is very control oriented which encourages faster swings (making even more spin possible).

The Topspin Cyberblue is pretty good when it comes to comfort and arm-friendliness. So imo the Spiky Shark would be closer.

thanks for the advice. Also, I've never used a hybrid before, nor have I strung my own strings (Until now i've just gone to the local sports shop and they string BB @60lbs for £20, hence why i'm looking for something cheaper), so i don't want this to appear like a stupid question but if i bought for example 3 sets of spikey shark but only wanted them for the mains would it be able to string 6 of my rackets?

That will leave you with 20ft of string for the mains which will be fine for the majority of racquets. Depending on how experienced the stringer is, you might want to consider cutting the sets in half yourself.

Do you string yourself?
What do you want to use for the crosses?

I don't want to string myself but I can no longer afford to pay £20 every time I want a restring. but if I provide the racket and the string myself I know someone that will do it for me for £5. I like the durability of full poly so I mite put cyber blue in crosses, or a cheap co-poly reel like eurostring, or maybe go for syn gut prince topspin, i mite get blue gear instead of spikey shark depending which is cheaper for me
