Default Euro Currency

Just a simple question- does the comma represent a decimal point?

100,84 € ---> 100.84 € ?

Please don't blast me for not knowing anything, I just need a simple answer

Just to expand a bit on lemmie's answer, in Europe the roles of the two are the opposite as in the US and UK. So, 100.000,84 in Europe would be written as 100,000.84 in the US and UK.

I had to stop and think about that for a bit the first time I left the US and went to Europe.

So basically if something was listed as 100,84 Euros, it would be 100.84 x 1.35 = $137.09 US?

www.xe.com is another good site with exchange rates and a currency calculator.

At the moment, it looks like €100.84 will be about $139.
