Default Players playing style and musical instrument

So the idea came from the article that compare Federer's style of play to the piano and Nadal's to the drums.

Seems like a fun way to explore this...

McEnroe = Violin
Agassi = Cymbals (loud from both sides)
Lendl = Trombone

Santoro - accordion. A FRENCH accordion. Such an abomination...

Karlovic - that big, loud drum that makes a lot of noise, but fails to bring anything special... besides the "BOOM".

Djokovic - guitar. Fun and entertaining, seems to have everything. Both easy and hard to use. Good for beginners and masters.
But it's still quite common instrument.

Safin - organ. Big, loud, great range. Can literally blow you off the cour... the rehearsal.
Too bad that the player is often drunk and can't hit a C for his life.

This is fun!

Timpani, you mean?

Timpani can be tuned! I think Karlovic is more like a GONG:

Federer...this is a toss-up betweem a Cowbell (in memory of his dearly loved cow Juliette) or a tambourine..as Federer prances around the court in his own inimitable style.

Yeah. Maybe that suits him more.

And yes, I thought of timpani, but had no idea how it's called in English

That pic is pretty funny but it should be a Wood Block in his hand. That is the sound he is used to hearing when he shanks his backhand.

Death metal is not an instrument.
He's all about finesse and touch. A violin suits him perfectly
