It's Memorial Day. Why wouldn't an American station not broadcast college softball, something that literally no one cares about, over world class tennis? Simple: softball is American and tennis is a foreigner sport even though some of the best players ever to play the sport hail from the US.

Go Figure.

Depends on your ISP. If you've got Verizon (or a few others, I forget the specifics) then it is. Otherwise, nope!

Verizon and if you are on a college campus or on a military computer then it's free.

Actually, ESPN may not have a choice in the matter.

According to that article, Tennis Channel owns the rights to RG and they share them with ESPN (kind of like a sublease I suppose). It could be that TTC said, hey we'll take the day that everyone is home from work and build up our ratings and left ESPN out of the picture.
