I am looking to buy my first stringing machine and found several cheap Eagnas models. After brief research it seems that it is like playing lotto with the company, you might get decent stuff, most likely not. If you ever need any help from them, you are doomed.
So, now my choice is Gamma's Progression II 602. It seems to be good value and quality machine at about $300. However, I wanted to ask you experts whether there is a better machine in the same price range that I should consider? Also, what is the best (cheapest place) to order the Progression II 602 from? Thanks for all your help in advance. |

Gamma Progression II 602 is the stringer that I'd buy also. I have never used it, but I have done A LOT of research on past threads here and people are definitely happy with it. The Gamma X-6 is basically an updated version of the Progression II. Just a different type of aluminum construction, I believe. Both models can be upgraded to use fixed clamps in the future.

I have the Progression II. Very good stringer for the price...I want to replace the clamps to sliding ones though. Anyone know where I can get that?

I did a lot of research last year on stringing machines and decided to buy the Gamma X stringer over the Revo and the Eagnas.
You can't go wrong with the Gamma or Revo. I just received too much negative feedback from others concerning the Eagnas The Gamma works great and the tech support is very good. |

OK I looked at the replacement...Are fixed clamps really worth $300? I mean if you were in my position. I have nothing nothing against flying clamps but everyone says they are bad. I mean before I string I clean them and try my best to not have them move. Sorry to steal this thread but any opinions?
