Exorcism of Emily Rose. That one freaked me out for a little.

^^^ That movie is nothing. The one scary part was the part where she saw people with black tears or whatever they were.
Ju On (The Grudge) or Tale of Two Sisters. Grudge caused more screams, but Tale of Two Sisters was much freakier and made me feel more scared after. Last edited by dave333 : 07-07-2009 at 02:58 PM. |

The Emily Rose one is not nearly as scary as the original. It's not even close.

It depends on many factors. For me it would be the original When a Stranger Calls because of my age when I saw it and the effect it had on me. As a teen I remember watching The Changeling and almost crapping my pants over that damn ball. As an adult the gore films don't scare me as much as the psychological thrillers do. Movies like Saw I watch at work with my partners when there are always three of us there (for bathroom escorts). The movies that give you an unexpected jolt are the ones that scare me. There are a few that have left me unnerved (yet, I keep watching them).

Korean horror film. I'd definitely say scarier...it is an unbelievably freaky movie. Complicated storyline, gotta watch it twice to really understand it. Very high quality as well though, it isn't just scary.
^^^CC you would enjoy the Grudge....so many unexpected jolts. Watch in the dark with a few friends and the volume high. Last edited by dave333 : 07-07-2009 at 03:06 PM. |

And when I mean the Grudge, I mean Ju On, the original japanese version.

American. I can't watch a movie with sub-titles...too distracting.

Ah, I didn't think the American one was nearly as scary. The Japanese one has some seriously unexpected jolts that you would never see coming.

For me the Exorcist. I watched it when I was quite young, it's the only one that really scares me.
I agree about Ju on, tis good, what I have seen of it that is. A Tale of Two sisters is just really wonderful. |

never seen the exorcist but i wouldnt watch it just because of the reason that ive been scared by the screamer made out of linda blair way too many times, lol,
for any of you who don't know what a screamer is its when ur like concentrated on something and some scary azz sht comes out and screams. |

Don't know about 'scariest,' but Poltergeist was pretty intense.
