Default Too late to join a USTA team for NorCal?

I've been wanting to join a USTA team. A friend of mine was trying to get me into his 6.5 combo team. Unfortunately the team is full and there's no room. The league already started (according to the site, matches began this week). Just casually looking around on the norcal website, it looks like most teams are full. I'm new to this whole thing and I'm wondering if there are still teams out there looking for players. If anyone could point me in the right direction, that would very helpful.

P.S. I'm a 22 year old male, I've never been rated. I would put myself at a strong 3.0 to weak 3.5 level. I'm decently athletic and I'm confident by the end of summer I could be a strong 3.5. I live in the South Bay area (near San Jose).

Yoy could try contacting the local area coordinator. Name should be at the top of each team listing.

Good luck.

Hi! Yeah this is a great area to play tennis. I don't even care that much about not finding a team, there's already a lot of opportunities and places to play here.

Suggestion: Go here < http://groups.yahoo.com/group/south_bay_tennis/ > and post something about your level, where you (generally) would like to play and your interest in joining a team.

I bet you still can. It's not even halfway through the season, so you can still get your two matches in to be qualified for the post-season. I think we had someone join during the adult league about halfway through the season. Anyway, if you can't, the norcal site will just say that registration's closed for that league.
