Jonas Bjorkman was one of the expert-commentators during the Catella Swedish Open today and the other commentator asked him what he thought about Federer,Nadal,Djokovic and Murray he said "that Federer is the greatest thing that ever has happened the world of tennis and that in front of media and the cameras Rafa seems nice but when the cameras are off that he is false and that lots of players dislikes him because he is very cocky and doesnt show any respect for anyone except Federer, he also said that when Rafa sees Federer he changes immidiately and becomes Mr Nice guy"...askissing that is. I am not surprised...
ps: Dont write any BS that who is Jonas Bjorkman to say these things,Jonas was one of the most liked and loved players on the ATP-tour, former world no 4 is singles and former world no 1 in doubles and 9 times slam winner. Over and out. |

Let's see the proof. I've only heard Jonas say outright that players dislike Rafa; haven't heard anyone else say that about Rafa.

Yeah but it doesn't mean much until he can provide why.

It's not just Bjorkman. Everyone likes Federer more than Nadal, for many reasons, such as class.

Thats surprising, cause a lot of guys like Roddick, Murray and Djokovic have a lot of respect for Nadal.
And in his conferences he never makes excuses. Of course that is just in front of the camera, but thats Bjorkmans comments surprise me a lot

Yup it's all true. It's only Nad-***** like Nadalfan and Clayman who can't see through his ********.
* Vamosing all the time * fist pumps and leg kicks * time wasting * glaring across the net all one very large unclassy package. No wonder Rafa hasn't won a Stefan Edberg award! |

Even after Nadal had his best tennis year, he didn't even get nominated for the sportsmanship award. Federer, meanwhile, won it for something like the 4th year in a row.

Yeah, Bjorkman seems like a nice guy when he was playing full time. He's not my favorites but I never really dislike him for any reason. So what he said about Nadal today seems a bit strong but I guess the truth hurts. That explained why the French crowd also hated Nadal during his 4th round collapse against Soderling. Everyone sees the BS that Nadal put on when he's in front of the media. |

I dunno what Rafa is like outside of the tennis court but in press conferences he always comes across as the guy that will make sure he says all the simple and nice things to make sure that he doesnt offend anyone and keeps everyone happy. It's just a lack of honesty in my opinion and a disrespect to his fans. He should be who he is always. If he's a vamos-yelling, butt picking, fist pumping jackass on court then why force yourself to change when you are off it? Not even the tiniest bit of that side of him comes out when hes off the court which just is not natural and you can tell that its forced. Federer on the other hand has said many rude and even cocky things in the past, but at least we know he's keeping it real. With Nadal it's very hard to tell. It may be partly due to the language barrier though. |

Because players really hate him, and probably for really good reasons too. Not all ATP players can be wrong, can they?

Tell me the last time Nadal did his fist pump and leg kick combo.... not in a while Fed may be more classy than Rafa, but Rafa is more humble, and id take humility of classyness any day
