Hi all,
The Hingis topic below was very interesting. Which was your most memorable match of hers? Against the other TOP girls? Thanks. |

I'm not a Hingis fan, I liked the French match against Graf, but the first time I realized Hingins was a great player was when I went to the Indian Wells Tournament, I think it was 1997 ? Anyway, I got a front row seat on a side court for a doubles match Venus/Serena vs. Hingis and Lucic, they were about ten feet away. The Williams sisters were just blasting the ball as hard as they could at Hingis, and every time she had the hands and reflexes to volley a winner away, it was amazing. The eventually started hitting to Lucic and it was game over, but I came away from that match amazed by Martina's ability.
