I'm thinking about which reel to buy. I've hit with the wilson and relatively enjoy hitting with it. I saw the insane price for gosen, so im wondering if anyone could compare the gosen to the wilson.
anything is appreciated

The wilson is easier to string, that's what I like more about it compared to the gosen
The gosen is more crisp, more "poppy," and has better spin potential. I like the extreme for cross strings, but they play a little "soft", and they break very quickly. Edit: Tension maintenance is also better in the gosen camp, IMHO.

I use a lot of Wilson Syn Gut Extreme for friends. They like it because it's cheap and fairly decent feeling. I like it too, it's crisp and predictable.
That goes the same for Gosen as well, but I feel the Gosen is a bit more crispy, and lot of pop. As for stringing, both are really easy to string with... |
