After demoing rdis 300 and rdis 100 midplus at the same time during a practice hour, I bought the rdis 100 mp because 300 seemed to be too powerful. I am playing with rdis 100 mp for a week now but I realize it is too stiff for me and also too headlight to my taste, I would prefer some more heft with the grounshots. At this time I have no chance to demo 300 again and therefore I would like to ask you how it compares with an other Yonex that I already have in my bag, rds 003. Would you say 300 is more flexible compared to both rdis 100 and 003 ? Could you compare these 3 using your experience with these ? Would you advise me to order a 300 even though I have a 003 and rdis 100 ? Thanks. |

Zheng Jie moved from the 003 to the RDiS 300; and indeed the two have specs that are very very similar. But having said that, I would order the RDiS 300 and play with it for a while, and if you like it still get two or three more. It's a great racquet that has not received the attention it deserves.

I just happened to buy one and I fell in love with it.
I use the RDS003 and I love the maneuverability of it. |

have you guys voted on that "favorite racket brand'' poll on rackets section?

Here's question: I am currently using my RDiS 300, but I have five RDS 003s lying around, strung with poly at varying tensions.
I'd am considering getting them re-strung with a more arm-friendly string, so my questions are: * Is this even a good idea? (To play with my RDS 003s once in a while) * If so, should I try to approximate the set-up on my RDiS 300s? * And, if I should, should I have the RDS 003s strung at 50 lbs, like my RDiS 300s, or doesn't it work that way? (Meaning that stringing different styles of racquets at the same tension will not produce a similar effect.)

No, actually 50 is at the lower end of the recommended stringing range. That's not to say i haven't hit my share of long shots with it; I have. But that's my fault, not the racquet's.
For me -- and I have playtested and researched many others -- this racquet is perfect.

For an intial investment in a few Yonex racquets, you get quality and the ability to play your best. Intangibles. But free.

Demoed them all. Prince, Wilson, Dunlop, Head, Fischer, Volkl and on and on. Yonex frames were simply better, more comfortable and better built

Mid tension would be 52, 53. I usually string mid to low due to the added comfort, but I don't want too much pop. Can you make a recommendation? thanks. |
