BTW, the 2 APD's are for sale. So, you may want to consider investing in a real racquet |

I will not be playing at the Aussie open next year. Sorry to disappoint everyone but I need to be at work, also I'm not very good.

To clarify the mystery of this thread, let me explain a little more. Tennis channel has a lot of programs showing "Destination this or that" where they have a few shots of rec players, and tons of shots of the good looking Mieka Buchan. There has not been a single program on rec players. This group of people who will be featured belong to a tennis network: http://www.tennis-sandiego.com/. We pay a small yearly fee and $5 each time we play. The venues are upscale resorts and clubs and the emphasis is on the social aspect, with most players heading to the bar after tennis (the bar will also be featured in the program). Most of us also belong to a primary club and use this network to widen our group of players. A similar network has been created in LA by the same guy who originally started this one: http://www.ca*********work.com/. (that would be ca tennis network) It is high time tennis media started covering the ordinary folks who play tennis and constitute the backbone of the industry. |

A. THEY were working, so it makes perfect sense to do it on a work day. B. With less people on the courts and fewer gawkers milling around, it's a lot easier for them to get their job done in a timely fashion. C. They were being considerate to people who work, can only play tennis on the weekend and would rather have courts available than be on some goofy TV show. And two other possible factors: D. Union TV employees probably get time-and-a-half for weekend work. E. The club/resort/city/court operators/whoever may have insisted they film when they did. |

OH neat! Too bad you didn't get to be in it though, that would've been a fun experience.
