Bradely Klahn versus Jelena Jankovic
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbHB1...eature=related We have a bunch of women's activists thinking Jankovic is destroying Klahn here, and that Klahn is going full steam and trying 100% based on 2 minutes of grainy footage.

It looks like Klahn is playing very similar to how he played in Kalamazoo last year.

whats with the obssesion to compare mens and womens tennis. Why do you feel the need to even discuss this. We get it women play at a lower level then men. Its been discussed a million times and those that played tennis at a high level or been around high level tennis understand the difference. Does this make female players losers somehow?

No, according to our resident women's rights activist (and expert tennis analyst) on the General Forum, Jelena Jankovic is supposedly crushing Klahn here based on an inconclusive, 2 minute, and grainy video. I posted in this particular section as the general IQ is way higher here than the General Forums (due to the absence of trolls).

Yes, it is very grainy. I swear that I saw Bigfoot going across the court during one point. Later in the clip, it appears that a UFO attempts to abduct Nessie.

^^ Great comebacks, guys.
Would think that it would be an interesting match between a top D1 and a WTA pro but really couldn't say if either would dominate based on this clip (there are too many critters & other distractions on the court).

Even Jankovic who has dominated the WTA this decade cannot beat top college guys. The vid shows nothing.

I agree with you, it's obvious this was a practice session and wasn't taken seriously, however there are posters hell bent on claiming that Jankovic 0 and 0ed the guy. Even if they played a match, and Jankovic actually won (which are some big ifs IMO), there is no way the score would be that bad.

Are you serious? type in klahn in youtube, see him play tommy tu or Alex Clayton, look how much more effort hes putting in, and hitting ALOT harder, barely letting timmy tu breathe. Now look at the video with jankovic, just the serve difference alone in the videos are a dead giveaway, he was her hitting partner, obviously going easy so she can catch a rhythm. I read the Topaz post too so I know where your coming from.

I enjoyed watching women's tennis live (Maria K live > Maria K TV), but if you've actually watched top D1 men's tennis live, it's a different speed. The sound itself is different, because the shots are so dang heavy.

Yeah I have watched some of it live. I've seen Alex Clayton, Benjaman Becker, Denes Lukacs, and a few other guys play. Clayton and Becker in particular hit the ball extremely hard.

I can see a committed (i.e. fit) Serena making it a competitive match. But, I've seen Serena play, and most top D1 pros can retrieve her serve just fine. The key thing is the lateral movement. Even the top WTAs can't go side-to-side at the speed the top men can. Maybe at peak, but not sustained for the types of rallies you see in D1 tennis.

And ya that video is a joke. The guy is hitting every ball down the middle and jogging to the net. If you watch where he plays Clayton he is hitting the ball much harder and away from the middle.
