Hi all...I've scoured Google, tennis-warehouse and other online retailers and I can't find a shoe that fits my needs...
I go through shoes quickly because I have a tendancy to drag my left toe on my 1hbh shots (as well as some of my open stance forehands). Needless to say I rip the top of my shoes off at the toes quickly. I also have weak ankles. I am trying to find a shoe that is mid-top (ankle-support) height and also has a hard rubber case over the toes (as opposed to leather or mesh). I can't find anything like this anywhere.... If anyone could help I would be greatly appreciative...Brand and price doesn't really matter...I'm just looking for the right shoe. Thanks. |

You could try the shoe above, or maybe Courtballistecs with ankle braces?

I already wear braces on both ankles.
I'm thinking this might be the best choice....it's difficult to tell if the hard rubber over the toes extends far enough into the shoe to provide protection: http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/desc...CE-V2MBK.html# |

Thanks for the replies guys...but I would rip through both of those toes pretty quickly.
It looks like the Prince Viper II's are the best choice just for the hard rubber over-toe. |

Well I got the shoes and they look pretty good....there is one weird thing though...
The laces are laced through like lace loops instead of holes in the shoes... While this looks nice it looks like I may have trouble keeping them tight as I'm tying my shoes... Does anyone else have any experience using this type of lace system? |
