Seeking new racquet advice

I have been using a Prince More Precision Oversize for the last 10 years. I am a 3.5 USTA level player. Even though this racquet is not too powerful for having such a large size, I have been having issues with control. I also feel like i cannot take full accelerated swings sometimes So I was considering going to maybe a smaller head to get some more control, but obviously don't want to make too big of jump. My first question is assuming all characteristics of my racquet are the same as a 100 square inch racquet, would the fact that the head is smaller at 100 give me much more control? Also can anyone recommend any good racquets for me? thanks

Check out the specs on dunlop aerogel 300. It's a good intermediate racquet.
